Computer Aided Design

We use software that precisely represents the dimensions of any space to create its digital version (3D topology) using geometric principles.

3D TOPOLOGY & 3 LEVELS OF DETAIL (LOD)

This is also known as the 'clay model'. The most basic 3D representation of any space.

LOD1

medium, simple room and medium scale details

LOD0

complex, intricate geometry and/or vendor specific assets

LOD2

ASSET CREATION

The 3D Topology is filled with a combination of 'ready made' and 'custom  made' assets. Each carry their own complexity (LOD).

COLOR & MATERIAL APPLICATION. Part I

This is also known as the 'clay model'. The most basic 3D representation of any space.

COLOR & MATERIAL APPLICATION. Part II

We give physical properties to the colors and the materials to behave as they do in real life when a ray of light impacts upon them. This creates the setup for realistic visualizations.

GETTING REAL

Light, shadows & balance

Setting up materials with physical properties is only the beginning. To achieve realistic results, we introduce natural light and luminaires.

We use real values for both, natural light and light emanating from luminaires. This creates a context where lights and shadows embed into the space seamlessly and realistically.

LIGHTS & SHADOWS

Blending information from different sources to create a coherent and harmonious depiction of reality. Balancing exposure, shadows, highlights and their relative values, we can achieve different 'looks' for the same scene.
